08:00 WAS THE CHARM

Moaning? Not me.

My writing output is put-out. The writing is lacking any outage at all, but I’m not going to moan.

The teens, their friends and carers, are draped across the furniture and acres of floor space in several rooms in the house, and they are not quiet.

This is good because when it reached 3am, 4am, 5am and several other ams too, the Minnow was still not in.

Only everything external was quiet.

The silence outside was not disturbed by our blue, or the Police’s blue and white, car in the drive.

“Sorry,” she said, “my phone ran out of battery. Did you call? I’ll just plug it in.”

She reminded me that the party was always a maybe-a-sleep-over. So, that’s alright.

Need me to drive across London, in a van, to pick up a 2m x 2m stage window? No problem: I’ve just finished reading “Lovely Bones” by Alice Sebold.

Did I mention what I bought her for her birthday?
