E is the Emphasis because as the eye scans, the sentence
is building up to the final word.
Knights, who want to survive in battle, sharpen their
blades, practise their skills, and never turn their backs on an enemy.
HAL LONGLEAT AND THE TROUBLE WITH TRUTH
All day, the wind had cut through the
courtyard and bitten at Hal until hands were red and raw. When shaking didn’t
work, he cupped his hands and blew to warm his fingers. Then, he chewed and rubbed the top of the short nail against his tooth.
